We would suggest you to apply the Temporary Chinese Driving Permit on your own:
Specific requirements and procedures vary from city to city. Please prepare the below items:
- Original and photocopy of your passport and Chinese visa;
- Original and photocopy of your overseas driving license;
- Chinese translation of the overseas driving license issued by one of the two authorized translation agencies (see below);
- A Chinese name, a Chinese mobile phone number and current residence address in Shanghai (in Chinese) are required.
Note: The local Traffic Administration Bureau ONLY accepts translations from the two government-certified agencies. To save your time, we can arrange and prepare the driving license translation for you in advance, or you may visit either agency in person to obtain it.
